This time of year, everything is about food and family! The holidays get a bad rep because so much of the food makes us pack on a few extra pounds, but today I’m going to teach you how to load up your plate with skin food so that yours will be happy and glowing!

Here are some tips for getting the vitamins and nutrients your skin will love.


First and foremost, make sure you’re throwing back enough water DAILY. Getting your water intake only a few times a week just doesn’t do it. Your skin is 64% water, so try to make sure you’re drinking half your body weight in ounces daily. This means someone who weighs 160 lbs. will want to be drinking 80 ounces of water daily!


Vitamin A

Vitamin A keeps your skin cells turning over! Retinol is a topical derivative of vitamin A, but also getting the vitamin in through your foods can help with skin conditions and anti-aging. High vitamin A foods include sweet potatoes, carrots, kale/spinach, and fish.
